The Department of Biotechnology received NBA accreditation for its B.Tech Biotechnology program in 2018 before receiving the same accreditation again in 2023. The department maintains a global relationship with the University of Nottingham which allows students to earn a B.Tech Biotechnology degree from MRIIRS Faridabad and a B.Sc. (Hons) Biotechnology degree from the University of Nottingham. The department operates a contemporary research facility named 'Molecular Biosciences Research Lab' which supports advanced studies in molecular biology animal biotechnology and enzyme technology as well as associated disciplines.
