Manav Rachna National Aptitude Test — An Overview

MRNAT analyses the aptitude, foundational knowledge of the subjects studied, elemental perspective of the program applied for, and general awareness of the candidates, preparing them for the chosen academic pursuit.

MRNAT comprises 3 sections (for UG aspirants) and 4 sections (for PG aspirants):

Eligibility and Exam Structure for MRNAT

Applicants seeking admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs are eligible to apply for MRNAT. The MRNAT is a 90-minute, objective-type online examination designed to assess candidates on:

  • Knowledge of the curriculum of their qualifying examination (Class XII for UG applicants or Graduation for PG applicants) and
  • Aptitude relevant to the program they are applying for
  • Vision & Values Round- This test is designed to look beyond the academic achievements of the candidates and delve into their aspirations, ethical mindset, and alignment with the university's guiding principles.

Faridabad (Main Campus): MRNAT and Vision & Values Round (VVR) are conducted on the same day at the Manav Rachna campus. At all other centres, VVR is scheduled online on subsequent days. Candidates must report with a valid photo ID and admit card.

Yes, scholarships up to 100% Tuition Fee Waiver are awarded based on MRNAT scores. Scholarships apply for UG & PG programs (excluding M.Tech, B.Des & M.Phil). For candidates scoring 90% or above, a 100% tuition fee waiver is available under both Utkarsh and Uttam schemes. 1) Multiple Choice Computer-Based Test (MCQ): 90 minutes (60 minutes for Lateral Entry). Questions based on qualifying exam syllabus & aptitude. 75 questions, 1 mark each, no negative marking.

2) MR Vision & Values Round (VVR): Personal Interaction, Value-Based Questions on topics like sustainability, teamwork, and societal contributions; and a Guidance Session with mentors presenting program insights, career pathways, and opportunities.
At the Manav Rachna campus, both MRNAT and VVR are conducted on the same day. For candidates appearing at other test centres, VVR is conducted online on subsequent days following the MCQ test.
Results are usually announced within 3 days of completing both sections of the test (MCQ Test + Vision & Values Round). Qualified candidates are notified via a selection letter sent to their registered email ID. Merit lists are also published on the official university website.
Applicants who missed Phase I (January 17, 2026) may appear for MRNAT Phase II scheduled on 25th, 26th & 27th April 2026. For special consideration requests, the admissions team will assess on a case-by-case basis and help with next steps.
MRNAT is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted offline at designated centres across India. Candidates must report to their chosen test centre to appear for the examination. It is not a work-from-home or remote online exam.
If you qualify for a scholarship based on your MRNAT performance, you will be notified through: (1) A selection letter sent to your registered email ID, and (2) Your name will appear on the Merit List published on the university website.
