PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

The Department of Biotechnology, in consultation with academic experts, industry professionals, alumni, and other stakeholders, has formulated the Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) for the B.Tech Biotechnology programme. These objectives represent broad statements describing the expected professional achievements and career pathways of graduates a few years after completing the programme. The PEOs outline how the programme prepares students with strong scientific knowledge, technical competence, research aptitude, and ethical responsibility to contribute effectively to biotechnology industries, research organizations, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.

PEO 1To make our students competent in the field of biotechnology and its allied areas.
PEO 2To inculcate the capability to work as entrepreneurs and techno managers with strong ethics and communication skills.
PEO 3To equip the students to pursue higher education and research in reputed institutes at national and international level.
PEO 4To develop a working knowledge of biotechnology product and processes.

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

PSO 1Acquire knowledge on the fundamentals of biotechnology for sound and solid base which enables to understand the emerging and advanced engineering concepts in life sciences.
PSO 2 Acquire knowledge in domain of biotechnology enabling their applications in industry and research.
PSO 3 Empower the students to acquire technologicalknowhow by connecting disciplinary and interdisciplinary aspects of biotechnology.
PSO 4 Recognize the importance of bioethics, IPR, entrepreneurship, communication and management skills so as to usher next generation of Indian industrialists.
