The Department of Biotechnology has two Students Clubs:








MRIIRS conducted a workshop ‘Toxicants Survey for Delhi-NCR water Reservoirs: A prediction for infectious disease spread’. The objective of this survey was to spread public awareness about sanitation, water borne diseases and government initiatives and measures to minimize water borne diseases in and around Faridabad district. The event brought together a diverse group of individuals, including students and Faculties to engage in discussions and activities related to this crucial topic (N=116). The primary objectives of the workshop were as follows:
To educate participants about the adverse effects of toxicants and water pollution and various waterborne diseases caused due to the same.
To highlight the importance of personal hygiene and sanitation in order to minimise waterborne disease in their areas and in general.

The workshop featured an informative presentation, interactive discussions and quiz activity. Ms. Niharika Saini, MSc Ist IInd Year, was the winner of this event for her tremendous efforts for execution of the survey judiciously.

The competition Waves of Change was organised to inspire students to reflect on the importance of marine life conservation and express their perspectives through artistic interpretation. Participants thoughtfully explored themes such as ocean pollution, coral reef preservation, overfishing, and the impact of climate change on marine biodiversity, presenting their insights through compelling creative works.
A distinguished panel of judges, Prof. Manu Solanki, Prof. Nidhi Didwania, Dr. Jayant Maini, and Dr. Yaman Hooda, evaluated the entries based on originality, creativity, scientific accuracy, and presentation skills. Outstanding posters and presentations were honoured with trophies and certificates, encouraging students to further their engagement with environmental advocacy.

The ACT of AWARENESS: Food, Lifestyle, and Health event was organised by the Biotechnea and Environ Club on 25 March 2025 to promote awareness about the vital connection between nutrition, lifestyle choices, and overall well-being. The programme featured engaging performances, including a Nukkad Natak, theatrical plays, and powerful monologues, all designed to educate and inspire the audience to make informed decisions about their health.
The best teams in the Play and Monologue categories were honoured with trophies and certificates, encouraging continued student engagement in meaningful health advocacy.
