Research Centre

The Centre for VLSI and Embedded Systems is established to promote advanced research and innovation in the areas of Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI), semiconductor device design, embedded systems, IoT, and hardware–software co-design. The centre facilitates collaborative research among faculty members, students, industry experts, and research institutions to address real-world technological challenges. It provides a platform for interdisciplinary projects, skill development, and industry-oriented training in emerging technologies. The centre also encourages student participation in research publications, funded projects, product development, and industry-driven innovation activities in the following thrust areas.

VLSI Design and Embedded Systems

The cluster focuses on digital and analog circuit design, embedded systems, and System-on-Chip (SoC) development for efficient and high-performance hardware solutions.

AI and Cyber-Physical Systems

The cluster focuses on integrating AI and Machine Learning with hardware platforms to enable intelligent design automation, edge computing, and smart industrial systems.

Semiconductor Technologies

The cluster focuses on advanced semiconductor materials, nano-scale devices, nanotechnology, and emerging computing paradigms such as quantum technologies.

Emerging Technologies and Applications

The cluster focuses on IoT systems, 5G/6G communication technologies, and other next-generation applications to address modern technological challenges.
