Research scholars, Ms. Neha and Vinod Singh , along with Dr. Jitendra Pal Singh, Ramanujan Fellow from school of sciences visited the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL), South Korea, where they have successfully carried out experiments using world-class advanced synchrotron radiation facilities.During the visit, they have interacted with Prof. (Dr.) Keun Hwa Chae at Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) and Prof. (Dr.) Sangsul Lee, Pohang Accelerator Laboratory, Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Republic of Korea and discussed the obtained results.
Ms. Ishika Sen, B.A. B.Ed., Semester VI, has presented her research papers at more than 20 national and international conferences, reflecting a strong research orientation, academic curiosity, and sustained scholarly engagement at an early stage of her academic journey.
The University Instrumentation Centre – UIC, School of Sciences, Manav Rachna University successfully organized a two-day Hands-on Training Program on Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC–MS) at the UIC laboratory. The program provided participants with practical exposure to GC–MS instrumentation, sample preparation, data acquisition, and data interpretation, highlighting applications in environmental analysis, food testing, pharmaceuticals, and natural product research. Real-time experiments enabled participants to gain valuable experience with advanced analytical techniques.
The Centre for Business Analytics, in association with SOMC and the Council for Doctoral Program, successfully conducted a workshop on SPSS—a powerful tool for statistical analysis in research.In today’s data-driven world, learning analytical tools like SPSS is essential for conducting meaningful and credible research. The workshop enabled participants to enhance their research skills, interpret data effectively.
The Centre of Analytics Research, in association with the School of Management and Commerce, Manav Rachna University, successfully organized an insightful session on "From Clicks to Conversions: Unlocking Digital" on 21st April 2025. Ms. Akanksha Kathuria, Assistant Professor and certified Digital Marketing Expert, shared key strategies in digital marketing — from SEO, SEM, SMM to the art of moving users from engagement to final conversion.
IIC MRU (Institution’s Innovation Council, Manav Rachna University) successfully hosted HACKMoR 2026, a 36-hour national-level hackathon that brought together 500+ innovators, 70+ live projects, and 17 expert judges in a high-intensity innovation arena. For 36 continuous hours, ideas were built, stress-tested, refined, and deployed into scalable, real-world solutions.
School of Engineering, Manav Rachna University, on the successful inauguration of the 1st International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Automation for Sustainable Solutions (ICASS 2026). Organised with technical sponsorship from the IEEE Delhi Section, ICASS 2026 brought together eminent academicians, industry experts, and researchers from India and across the globe to deliberate on advancements in Artificial Intelligence, automation, intelligent computing, and sustainable engineering.
Dr. Savita Sharma, Associate Professor, School of Education & Humanities, has been selected to join a distinguished 11-member international delegation as part of the Open Education for a Better World (OE4BW) Initiative. In her capacity as Hub Coordinator, she attended EDUCOPE 2025 in Slovenia, Europe, on a visit sponsored by UNESCO. This achievement is a testament to Dr. Savita Sharma’s expertise and our institution’s commitment to advancing global educational initiatives. Dr. Savita Sharma has been selected as a Mentor for the prestigious global initiative DigiEduHack 2025, a project implemented by Bonalab with the support of the EU4Ocean Coalition and funded by the European Commission. In her role as a mentor, Dr. Sharma has played a pivotal role in guiding innovators and students to solve pressing environmental and educational challenges, furthering the mission to revolutionize digital education and blue economy awareness. This achievement highlights Manav Rachna’s unwavering commitment to fostering leadership that impacts the international stage, connecting global experts and learners to create technology-driven, sustainable solutions for our oceans through a platform backed by the high-level policy standards of the European Commission.
Dr. Savita Sharma, Associate Professor, School of Education & Humanities secured the opportunity to record lectures for the Indira Gandhi National online course “ICT in Education” to be aired on the SWAYAM PRABHA Channel. This is a pioneering effort and a significant contribution, opening up exciting avenues for the future of open education and online learning.
Dr. Rashi Banerji and Ms. Vandana Zutshi Bhat participated in the prestigious international academic platform SBS-2025, hosted by Sunway University, Malaysia, engaging with distinguished faculty members and delegates from across the globe.
Dr. Shalu, Associate Professor, has authored the book “Data Structures: A Python Perspective” (Paperback), co-authored with Dr. Shrabani Mallick, Ms. Divya Verma, Dr. Sarika Chouhan, and Dr. Ch. V. S. Satyamurty. This book is the result of a collective effort to make the concepts of data structures more accessible and practical through Python. It aims to serve as a valuable resource for students, educators, and programming enthusiasts by offering clear explanations and a strong foundation in data structure fundamentals.

Centre for VLSI and Embedded Systems (CVE), in association with the Department of ECE, organized a six-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “5G and Beyond: Practical Approaches to Next-Gen Wireless Communication” from 7th to 12th July 2025. The programme featured expert sessions from leading universities and industry professionals on cutting-edge advancements in wireless communication. Hands-on training in MATLAB enabled participants to explore network modeling and system optimization, effectively bridging academic knowledge with industry practices. The FDP aimed to empower faculty and researchers to contribute to next-generation communication technologies, pursue funded projects, and advance research in the wireless domain.

A one-day workshop on “Quantum Computing” was organized by the Department of Sciences and the Department of Computer Science Engineering, Manav Rachna University, in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). The session aimed to provide students and faculty members with fundamental insights and hands-on understanding of quantum computing and its simulation tools developed under national initiatives. The resource persons included Mr. Amit Saxena, Scientist F, C-DAC Pune; Mr. Raja Singh Yadav, Knowledge Associate, C-DAC Bangalore; and Mr. Vaddeboina Abhijith Tej, Knowledge Associate, C-DAC Pune. The workshop highlighted India’s growing capabilities in quantum research through platforms such as QSim and Qniverse developed under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM).
Dr. Savita Sharma has been invited as the resource person for a two-day workshop held on 29th and 30th December 2025 for vetting the research tool for the project titled “A Study of Curriculum Frameworks and Practices related to School Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) in select Asian Countries” by the Planning and Monitoring Division (PMD), National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
Dr. Savita Sharma from the School of Education and Humanities has also been invited as the resource person in a Two-Week Faculty Development Programme jointly organized by K R Mangalam University in collaboration with the Central University of Haryana on the theme “Indian Knowledge Systems: Transforming the Landscape of Higher Education”.

Research Cluster of Computing (RCC) established in 2017 in LG-10, Department of Computer Science and Technology has its foundation based on Ideation-Innovation-Incubation-Impact. RCC is founded with the intense conviction and deep commitment of the Institute to offer a forum for faculty, students and the world around them to integrate out-of-box ideas, take challenging problems of real-world, publish, express, assimilate and thereby develop novelties to scientific range into engineering problems of computing science and applications. There are various dimensions to RCC where all stakeholders (Student - Faculty) are offered possibly best means of technical support and opportunities to network and work towards developing products and papers that can investigate and add value to ongoing research.

Taking the culture of research and innovation forward, team of Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Centre started working since 2011 to establish innovation labs in the area of Mechanical and Electronics.

After preparing policies, strategizing the systematic approach to research innovation, and testing a pilot run of the Centre was officially inaugurated on January 01, 2014.

We live in a knowledge-driven economy, where Research and Development has become the key to sustainable economic growth, creating in the process, a competitive edge.

Across its 20-year journey with many a milestones to its credit, Manav Rachna has taken on the challenge of yielding applicable knowledge and dedicating itself towards several path breaking Research and Development initiatives. More recently, the Institution has created a ‘Research and Innovation’ culture at the Undergraduate level through Innovation & Incubation at MRIIC.

By introducing ‘Research Integrated Programmes’, the Institution launched a first-of-its-kind Business Incubator at Manav Rachna Research, Innovation & Incubation Centre (MRIIC) -a whole new concept aimed to take the Institution to the next level and catapult it to the top leagues of innovation-driven institutions in the country.

The Institution collaborated with Accendere, a Career Launcher Educate group entity to enable even undergraduate students to participate in research and innovation for producing research publications in high impact factor journals listed in Scopus, Web of Science, Science Citations Index (SCI) Expanded, EBSCO and Social Sciences, along with patent filings and start-ups with constant mentoring from the science, engineering and management communicators. All undergraduate students are given access to research enhancer tools viz. Research Index, Deepdyve platform etc.

Students have been involved in scientific research in the recent years in the form of case studies, reviewing current research topics, experiments, real time implications etc. Their domain target ranges from communication to construction, control system to immune system, aeronautics to aerodynamics thereby portraying their extreme skills and interest. This kind of research involvement provides students hands on experience and knowledge in addition to their regular course work.

Manav Rachna is also one of the Academic Partners for the event Techronics 2017, which was held on 8th December 2017 at India habitat Centre, New Delhi.

MREI has joined hands with India Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA) with the vision of strengthening Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) ecosystem in India. Manav Rachna is now a proud member of IESA and both the organisations are looking forward to work with each other.

The Institutions have to their credit, over 4000+ research publications in International Journals, National Journals, International Conferences and National Conferences. This includes more than 700 papers listed in the Scopus database, Web of Science, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and EBSCO database and other high impact quality journals. 386 patents have been filed /granted to faculty and students.

More than 140 books have been authored by faculty members and received sanctions of grants worth over Rs. 6.3 Crores from EDII, Ahmadabad through DST, Govt. of India for setting-up of NewGen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India from Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Faridabad for Biopesticides developmental work.

MREI has submitted research and developmental projects worth Rs 100 Crores to Atal Incubation Centre (AIC), Central Pollution Central Board (CPCB) and Department of Science and Technology (DST). The Institutions have tied up with more than 47 Foreign Universities for research and innovation in addition to Indian collaborations like IOCL, Faridabad, THSTI, Faridabad, CSIR-IIP, Dehradun and NII, New Delhi.

The institution currently hosts five dedicated Centres of Excellence: the Centre for AI and Advanced Computing (CAC), Centre for Business Analytics Research (CBA), Centre for Materials and Applied Sciences (CMS), Centre for Law and Technology (CLT), and Centre for VLSI and Embedded Systems (CVE).Key activities include participation in national and international competitions, execution of student-driven and faculty-led projects, publication of high-impact research, and undertaking sponsored research and development initiatives. The ecosystem also emphasizes capacity building through specialized training in advanced and emerging technologies, preparing students and researchers for future industry demands.
