Programme Overview

At Manav Rachna University, the two-year postgraduate M Tech ECE course, M.Tech ECE - Embedded System & VLSI, combines chip design technology with hardware/software integration. The students are trained in FPGA Prototyping, ASIC Design, and Microcontroller Programming using EDA tools in the industry. This training opens up exciting career opportunities in semiconductor design, automotive electronics, and edge computing through in-depth training on IoT systems, real-time operating systems, low-power VLSI, and System-on-Chip (SoC) design. These state-of-the-art labs and industry interactions ensure that the students are well placed to shoulder hardware challenges of the outside world.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

  • Pass and minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in B.E./ B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Telecommunication Engineering/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Power Electronics
  • OR
  • MCA/ M.Sc. Computer Science/ Information Technology with Electronics/ Physics/ Maths as one of the subjects.
  • The program is available to candidates of different backgrounds and nationalities i.e. Indians, Foreign Nationals, NRI (Non-Resident Indian), PIO (Person of Indian Origin) may apply.

Scholarships

MRU now offers teaching assistantship for MTech Students. The selected candidates having more than 70% overall marks or 7.00 CGPA in the qualifying examination shall be provided teaching assistantship on the recommendations of the committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

Under this provision, such candidates shall be required to engage with Professors/ Associate Professors of the University for Practical and Tutorial Classes with total assignments of 8-10 periods/week and they shall be paid stipend of Rs. 10000/- per month with a maximum limit of payment for 12 months during the complete duration of the M.Tech programme.
