Brief Profile

Ushita Banerjee is an Assistant Professor and PhD Scholar at Manav Rachna University, Faridabad. Her doctoral research explores the psychological and socio-cultural ideas of madness as a catalyst for evoking fear in 19th-century proto-weird fiction. She has published and presented at national and international platforms, including papers on the associations between Gothic and folk culture, Madness in Women, Dystopias as a warning of the times we live in, as well as papers on the implementation of NEP 2020 and the assistive use of AI in Literature. As a seasoned practitioner of the IB Curriculum, she is teaching the IBEC courses at SOEH alongside language pedagogies and developmental theories.
