Dr. Richa Adlakha holds a Ph.D. in Control of Power Converters using Artificial Intelligence Techniques from Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), India, and an M.Tech in Power System & Electrical Drives from YMCA College of Engineering, earned in 2006. She is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Manav Rachna University, Faridabad.
She began her academic journey in 2002 and has served in Apeejay College of Engineering and CITM (now MRIIRS) before joining the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, FET, MRIIRS in 2012. Over the course of her career, she has mentored several M.Tech dissertations and undergraduate projects and is currently guiding research scholars in the area of power conditioning in electric vehicles.
Dr. Adlakha has received specialized training on factory automation products including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) from Mitsubishi Electric India, and actively imparts hands-on training to students. She was honored with the Young Engineer’s Award by the Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] for two consecutive years (2016 and 2017) for her contributions on the theme Role of Engineers in Nurturing India. She has also delivered invited lectures at IEI, including one on Battery & Battery Applications in Electric Vehicles.
She is currently working on a project on Wastewater Management, supported through seed funding from MRIIRS. With more than 30 publications in reputed journals and conferences and six published patents to her credit, she continues to contribute significantly to research, innovation, and teaching.
