Aishwarya Sharma is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Education and Humanities, MRU and a PhD scholar at the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), India. She holds a Master's in Education and Political Science. Her research interests encompass comparative education, shadow education, educational technology, educational planning, and policy design. She has published scholarly articles and book reviews in several news platforms and academic journals. Ms Sharma was recently awarded a 100% travel grant by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) to present her doctoral research at the CESHK 2024 conference, held at the University of Hong Kong. She has received the Young Researchers’ Award at two academic conferences for her work concerning shadow education. Additionally, she has been awarded accessibility grants by the British Association of International and Comparative Education and the Association of Asian Studies to present her work at the prestigious UKFIET and AAS conferences, respectively. She is also a recipient of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Stipendium (under the BWS project) for academic exchange in Germany.
