Board of Studies (BOS)

The Board of Studies (BoS) of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at MRIIRS (Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies) typically consists of the following members:

Each Academic Department has its own Board of Studies. All academic matters, including the introduction of new academic programmes, revision of existing programmes/courses, and review of academic rules, are handled by the Board of Studies.

Powers and Duties of Board of Studies

  • To coordinate the teaching and research work in the Programmes assigned to the Department.
  • To appoint committees of courses for the Department, wherever required, to supervise the work of such committees.
  • To recommend to the Board of School, the scheme courses and syllabi of Studies in the various programmes assigned to the Department(s).
  • To recommend to the Board of School, name of paper setters, examiners and moderators, wherever required.
  • To consider schemes for the advancement of the standards of teaching and research, and to submit such proposals to the Board of School concerned.
  • To consider schemes for interaction with industry and to submit such proposals to Board of School concerned.
