Brief Profile

Dr. Soumik Saha, M.P.T. (Sports) is an Assistant Professor with 8 years 6 months of academic and 3 years of on-field clinical experience. He is a B.P.T. from IPGME&R and M.P.T ( Sports) from Punjabi University. He has worked as a Sports Physiotherapist for the Indian Archery Team (SAI), Punjab Football Team (2022 National Games), and the Punjab Police Team (All India Police Games 2019- 2023). He has worked with professional football academies such as Mohun Bagan Sail Football Academy and All India Inter-University tournaments in multiple sports. His research includes the first Indian study on injury patterns in archery, special reference to scapular instability, and 5 research publications and 2 poster presentations at national and international conferences such as AIIMS New Delhi. He has contributed to academic development of the field by conducting workshops, CMEs and invited lectures in Sports Rehabilitation and Functional Training.
