Dr Sarita Nandmehar is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at SBSS and deputy director of the Migration and Diaspora Institute, New Delhi. She has previously taught at universities in India and Indonesia as both a national and international faculty member. Dr Nandmehar earned her PhD from the School of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi; an MPhil in South Asian Studies from JNU; and a master's in Political Science from the University of Delhi. Her research covers South Asian geopolitics, regional security, diaspora, migration, and gender studies. She has published 15 research papers—including articles and book chapters—and has presented at more than 20 conferences. Dr Nandmehar also contributes to public discourse by writing for the Republica newspaper in Nepal, which is jointly published with the New York Times and the Jakarta Post, bridging her academic expertise with public engagement.
