Dr. Namita Kathpal

Brief Profile

Dr. Namita Kathpal specializes in Communication Systems with research interests in Radio over Fiber Systems and Optical Fiber Communication. She obtained her Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2019 from Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science & Technology (DCRUST), Murthal. She completed her M.Tech in ECE from YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad and B.Tech in ECE from Lingaya’s University with 83%, where she secured a top position.

Dr. Kathpal is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Faridabad. She has over three years of teaching experience and has also gained industry experience as a PPC Engineer at Kripa Automation India Pvt. Ltd. She has additionally served as a Junior Consultant at the Distance Education Bureau of the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. She has also qualified UGC-NET in Electronic Science and GATE in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Her academic contributions include more than 30 research publications in international journals, conferences, and book chapters, primarily in the areas of optical communication and radio over fiber systems. She has received several recognitions including the Excellent Research Paper Award at ICAET-2018, research fellowship under TEQIP-III, and Elite + Silver certifications in NPTEL courses.

Her technical expertise includes OptiSystem, MATLAB, and LaTeX, along with practical exposure to PLC systems and electronic hardware implementations.
