Dr. Kumar Raajesh

Brief Profile

Presently a Professor in Manav Rachna International Institute Research & Studies (MRIIRS) at School of Media and Humanities (SMeH), Kumar Raajesh has been a credible media personality and academician for well over three decades. Having finished his M.Phil. (As a JRF Scholar) from Centre for Political Studies (CPS) in JNU, he joined the audio-visual media (which was still in its nascent stage in India) in 1992, while continuing his Ph.D. from CPS. Active involvement in TV Journalism made him discontinue his Ph.D. then, which was finally awarded to him in 2021, this time from University of Delhi. From 1992 till 2024 he had been associated with the best of media houses in India – TV Today (Newstrack, AajTak, Headlines Today), NDTV, India TV etc. –

and most recently with ABP Network. First face as a reporter on AajTak screen in July 1995 was one among many high points in his career as a TV Journalist. On the academic front, he has taught Political Science in a leading college of Delhi University. His book, ‘The Janata Enigma 30 Out Of 60’ (2008, Manak Publications, New Delhi) was launched at a well-attended function at India

International Centre (IIC), New Delhi on 18th May 2008. He joined MRIIRS as a Professor in October 2021.
