Dr. Kamlesh Sharma is a distinguished academician with over 23 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience. She holds an MCA and M.Tech from MDU University, and earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, India.
At MRIIRS, Dr. Sharma serves as Professor & Associate Dean (Academics) and coordinates several key academic functions, including Open Elective, MOOCs, R&D, NAAC, and NBA Audits. She is also the Central SPOC for SWAYAM and IIRS–ISRO Local Chapters, driving digital learning and academic innovation within the institution.
Her research expertise spans Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Big Data, and Health Informatics. She has published over 75 research papers and 6 book chapters in reputed Scopus, Web of Science, Elsevier, IEEE, and ACM-indexed journals and conferences.
Dr. Sharma has successfully supervised multiple Ph.D., M.Tech, and B.Tech scholars, and is currently guiding six doctoral researchers. She has also mentored application-based projects for FIA, Hackathon, and Toycathon, and is associated with two startups under the NewGen IEDC Scheme (DST, Govt. of India).
Her pioneering work in NLP focuses on adapting computational systems for Hindi dialects, contributing to the advancement of indigenous language processing.
She has chaired sessions at international conferences, serves on editorial boards of reputed journals, and is actively involved with professional bodies.
