From Pramāṇa to Policy: Indian Knowledge Systems and Research for a Viksit Bharat
A 10-day intensive programme supported by Indian Council of Social Science Research, this course is designed to strengthen research capabilities through the lens of Indian Knowledge Systems. It explores the journey from Pramāṇa (valid knowledge frameworks) to policy-making, equipping participants with robust methodologies, interdisciplinary perspectives, and contextually relevant research approaches aligned with the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
The programme featured engaging sessions led by distinguished experts from leading universities and reputed organizations, offering diverse academic insights and real-world research perspectives.
From qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research to rich explorations of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), the course blended analytical rigour with contextual depth. Scholars engaged in hands-on learning across research design, policy research, data analysis, academic writing, publication ethics, and interdisciplinary approaches—building both skill and scholarly confidence.
Over ten days of conversations, debates, reflection, and shared learning, participants not only enhanced their methodological capacities but also reaffirmed their commitment to ethical, context-sensitive, and socially meaningful research.
